Inter House English Debate Competition 2024

The English Department held an Inter-House English Debate Competition on 31st August 2024 at Aradhana Hall, debating the motion “Corruption is the price we pay for Democracy.” All four houses—Patel, Raman, Subash, and Tagore—participated, showcasing their critical thinking, public speaking, and teamwork skills. Patel House argued that corruption is a necessary evil in democracy, while Raman House countered that it undermines democratic foundations. Subash House likened corruption to a “cancer,” and Tagore House claimed democracy without corruption is lifeless. Judges Mr. Anirudha Kumar and Dr. Mrs. Anjali praised the participants for their dedication and intellectual engagement.
